Disney Springs Movie Theater: The AMC Disney Springs 24
Visiting the Disney Springs Movie Theater is another opportunity to build everlasting memories during your Disney World vacation. You will enjoy a unique, movie-watching experience at the Disney Springs Movie Theater, also known as AMC Disney Springs 24. While the theater is located on Disney property, it shows the newest box office hits in addition to traditional, Disney favorites. Whether you are looking for relief from the heat, a break from walking, a refreshing cocktail, or a delicious meal, the Disney Springs Movie Theater has something for visitors of all ages.
The Main Complex
The Disney Springs Movie Theater is on the far West Side of Disney Springs. It is found near Splitsville and the Bongos Cuban Cafe and Nightclub. There are 24 state-of-the-art screens in the complex. A handful of these screens belong to the Fork & Screen Theaters where visitors can make reservations to dine-in. In fact, one of the screens was recently updated to become the the first Enhanced Theater Experience in America. In this theater, there is a giant floor to ceiling screen. There is a 12 channel audio, a digital projection that shows higher quality than HD, and 3D capabilities as well. However, the other 23 screens still offer an amazing viewing experience with THX Surround Sound and Sony Dynamic Digital Sound. Also, whether you are dining in or enjoying the traditional movie setting, all theaters provide spacious and comfortable stadium-style seating.
Fork & Screen Complex
The most popular attraction at the Disney Springs Movie Theater is likely the Fork & Screen Theater. You will be offered a truly special Dine-In experience. You can have food and drinks delivered directly to your seat as you watch your movie. How fantastic is that? The stadium-style seats are made of a very comfortable plush-leather. Also, the lighting at the tables is low. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about any interference while enjoying the movie. You simply have to press the “call” button located in the middle of your table. Before you know it, a server will be by your side! However, if you’re trying to enjoy the Dine-In service, you must be at least 18 years of age or accompanied by someone who is 21 or older.
Fork & Screen Food
You will find a full menu of many different food options when Dining-In. Everything from appetizers to kids’ menus and desserts are just a push of the button away. For example, some appetizer favorites are: Buttermilk Biscuit Poppers, Crab and Avocado Sushi Roll, and Wedge Lettuce Cups. Next, you can choose a main course. A main course could be anything from a salad to a hot, prepared entree. Grilled Chicken Quinoa, Teriyaki Steak, and Shrimp Carbonara are some entree favorites. If you are dining and viewing with children, there is a special menu just for them! Chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, and a cheeseburger are just some of the options available for kids. Also, you can order drinks from the full bar and traditional movie snacks such as candy and popcorn. Finally, if you aren’t full by the end of your movie, you can order a delicious dessert! Just keep in mind that the Fork & Screen does not accept the Disney Dining Plan.
Marketplace Concession Stand
The Marketplace Concession Stand is not your typical snack bar. For example, when you walk up to the Marketplace Concession Stand, you will find more of a marketplace than a concession stand. Rather than standing in line behind a counter as someone gathers your snacks, you choose your snacks by visiting various stations. Simply pick out what you want and bring it to one of the cashiers. Popcorn, ice cream, chicken tenders, and soda are just some of the many options to choose from. All hot items are made fresh to order as well! As if that wasn’t enough, you can even customize your own soda! The Coca Cola Freestyle stations allow you to mix and match different flavors to create your own Coke flavor!
MacGuffins Bar and Lounge
The Disney Springs Movie Theater wouldn’t be complete without a bar and lounge. Unique to AMC Disney Springs 24 is MacGuffins Bar and Lounge. It’s the perfect spot to chat and hang out before your movie starts. You can even bring your alcoholic drink with you into the movie once it starts. How cool is that? Also, it’s a great spot to stop after your movie to enjoy a refreshing beverage and some good conversation. Perhaps your feet just need some relief from walking or you need to spend some time in the air conditioning. You don’t have to see a movie in order to stop by and enjoy some delicious food and drink. MacGuffins Bar and Lounge has 2 convenient locations: one inside the main complex and the second adjacent to the Dine-In Theaters.
