Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Review

In the early 1900s, Atlantic City was the resort town to visit. The town was full of carnival games, exciting nightlife, and souvenir vendors. Right on the edge of Crescent Lake, Disney’s BoardWalk area is built like that kind of Atlantic City. And just steps away from the BoardWalk is Disney’s BoardWalk Inn resort. This deluxe resort presents guests with a beautiful Queen Anne-style facade and turn-of-the-century decor, while still offering modern comfort and convenience.

The BoardWalk Inn offers a few different types of rooms and two distinct levels of service. Standard service rooms are very much like an ordinary four-star hotel room. Club-level service costs more but adds an extra layer of comfort and luxury to your stay at the hotel.

Club service perks include:

  • Evening turndown service.
  • Health club access.
  • Access to the club lounge and refreshments.
  • Complimentary continental breakfast, midday snacks, and evening wine, cordials, and desserts.

The resort offers both standard and club service rooms with a view of either the waterfront or of the gardens, pool, or parking areas. These rooms can sleep up to five adults in some combination of queen, king, and day beds. In addition, there are club service garden rooms featuring a king bed, a seating area, and a view of the gardens or pool.

Getting to the Parks

The BoardWalk Inn is special, in that it is within walking distance to two theme parks: Epcot and Disney Hollywood Studios. So, there’s no need to worry about transportation to either of those two theme parks. However, in order to visit the Magic Kingdom or other theme parks, guests can drive or use Disney Bus services.

Business Travel at the BoardWalk Inn

As an adult-friendly resort, the BoardWalk Inn offers several services for business travellers. On top of offering over 20,000 square feet of meeting and conference area at its Conference Center, the BoardWalk Inn offers a business center, banking services, and a mail center. After the workday is over, however, business travellers will be pleased to see that there are numerous ways for them to kick back and relax.

The BoardWalk area offers numerous places to grab a bite to eat. Whether you’re looking for something that deserves a Michelin star or simple room service, the BoardWalk Inn will not disappoint.

The Flying Fish offers fresh, sustainably-sourced seafood in a fine dining atmosphere. This luxurious restaurant offers seasonal dishes as well as an elaborate five-course price fixe dining experience.

The BoardWalk Inn also offers a unique dining experience at the Big River Grille and Brewing Works. This eatery offers fresh twists American pub-style cuisine. They even brew their own microbrews on the premises! While it is definitely a brewpub, this is a family-friendly restaurant that also features a kids’ menu and relaxed atmosphere.

Casual dining can be found at two locations near the BoardWalk Inn: Trattoria al Forno, and ESPN Club. Trattoria al Forno is a modern Italian restaurant with a completely Italian wine list. In contrast, ESPN Club is more of a sports bar experience. This spot lets guests enjoy bar classics like burgers and beer while catching the big game.

In addition to the sit-down dining facilities, there are two lounges at the BoardWalk Inn. The Belle Vue Lounge is an antique-inspired sitting room where guests can enjoy coffee, cocktails, and snacks. In contrast, the Leaping Horse Libations is a carousel-themed bar beside the Luna Pool, serving poolside snacks and alcoholic beverages.

Recreation

The BoardWalk Inn offers several pastimes for those who are not attending a theme park. This resort offers three pools. The largest of these, the Luna Pool, features a carnival theme and a 200-foot water slide. There is also 36 holes of mini golf, offered at Fantasia Gardens and Fairways just steps from the resort.

For guests who want a bit of exercise, the BoardWalk Inn offers multiple facilities. First, the Muscles & Bustles Health Club is a full-service gym with a wide variety of equipment for guests’ fitness needs. There are also facilities for outdoor recreation, like tennis courts, jogging trails, and bicycle rentals.

In conclusion, the BoardWalk Inn is a plush resort with almost everything a guest could want on vacation. With plenty of activities for adults as well as children, a trip here is sure to be a roaring success.
